The Full Story

Hello fellow human

My name is Kaia Kent, pronouns she/her

At the heart of my practice lies the philosophy that everyone is interconnected in this ecosystem. The Sacred Spiral is a symbol of the journey we all take towards inner growth, finding ourselves at the centre. We can find our balance in the center of who we are. We are all capable of moving through what life lessons come, you are stronger than you know. As we affect the world around us, spiralling outwards, we bring our unique gifts to share.

I found myself in moments where it feels life is so hard it is bursting at the seams. After the end of a 14 year marriage and facing a divorce, I was disillusioned. I struggled to reclaim my identity. Having  the support of a counsellor, has given me an example of a secure therapeutic relationship. With this support I was able to find curiosity and self compassion again. Starting a my new rhythm in life, letting old beleifs die and rising to a new level of freedom and reliance. Trying out Eco-Therapy changed my life, I learned to find my voice and stand my ground in a balanced way. Leaning into my inner growth to establish a solid foundation. Becoming aware and establishing healthy boundaries so I did not burn myself out. Connecting with my senses and using the wisdom of nature, I found myself identifying the patterns I see in nature and how I could utilize these metaphors in my own life. These experiences have changed my life and my passion is to share this and make a difference in other's lives.

I have learned the compassion and patience it takes to work with my neurodivergent son. I have specialized in working with neurodivergent people  1:1 and facilitating group events and the importance of connecting others in a meaningful way. I Have experience working with women dealing with abuse, oppression, loss of identity and significant relationships. My passion drives me to help empower men, women, and non-Binary people through transitions in life.

I gratefully acknowledge that I live, work, and learn on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation).

I feel lucky to call Burnaby home, a place of mountains that hold the horizon, forests that whisper ancient stories, and waters that carry memory. Long before streets and skylines, these lands were (and continue to be) places of gathering, teaching, trading, celebrating, and caring for community.

As I move through my days, whether walking through neighbourhood trails, watching the fog roll off the mountains, or sharing meals with friends, I remember that I am a guest here. With that awareness comes responsibility: to listen, to learn, to respect, and to contribute in ways that honour the peoples who have stewarded this land since time immemorial.

May I live here with gratitude, humility, and a commitment to reconciliation, not just in words, but in my actions
